A month ago we got DirecTV because of a deal they were offering. WOW, BAD IDEA. We have had nothing but problems and broken promises from the beginning. Today I found out they dropped the Versus channel because of bad negotiations. Let me say that again. They dropped Versus, which is the only channel that carries the University of Texas / Wyoming game, less than two weeks before the game. When we checked a month ago we had the channel. We invited friends from Ben's work over. We were going to smoke a brisket. We are NOT happy. If they do not get the channel back then we can't watch the Tour de France. NOT happy. Anyone know of any alternatives for watching football? I think right now I would be willing to hit a bar that carries the game ;)

NOT COOL...I am almost as annoyed with TV college football contracts as I am with the BCS. The MWC has the worst cable contract with a station called "The Mountain." They are suppose to leave it as soon as they can. ESPN 360 often plays games but that is only if they are on ESPN. Last year we found an illegal internet link to the mountain but it doesn't work now. Good luck
OH my gosh-last night they made Jeff so mad too! The whole cable thing wasn't working at all. Tried to trouble shoot with the sleepy person on the phone. They told him we were going to have to pay $50 to have someone come look at it since they couldn't figure it out. So I got on the phone and said we hadn't even had the service a year so they'd better do it free. THey agreed... but then Jeff fixed it by turning everything off and then on again.
DUh.
Anyway, I haven't decided yet if I should cancel the service call. I think I wanna waste their time ;)
