A Little of This, A Little of That

Summer for us is winding down and we had a few pics left to show what we have been doing the last month. This week of course has been all about the Olympic games. For opening ceremonies the girls made Olympic cupcake torches. I say we but actually the girls did it entirely themselves. It is cupcakes stuffed in cones with cream cheese frosting and white chocolate flames.

Trying to get rid of prerace jitters. This week the girls both made our local swim team. It is year round and they are excited to be in the pool so much.

The girls also took classes at Midland College this summer. The one Audrey was a little dissappointed in at first was cupstacking. We signed up late and she had to take what was left. I think it ended up being one of her favorite classes though. I can't believe how fast some of the kids in the videos go. Although some of the kids in her class did cupstacking on a competitive level before she was the one who had the most improved times by the end of the two weeks. At the 'finals' she was giving some of them a run for their money!
